We will be teaching the chants and no musical knowledge is required, just a willingness to learn.

The theme for the Flower Festival in St. John's will be "MUSIC TO WORSHIP BY" depicted in flowers. This is a wide subject - it can be an interpretation of a favourite hymn but titles range from the traditional "Greensleeves" to "Pig in the city" - beautiful music from a film; the film depicts music through the ages and shows how music can transcend thoughts to connect with worship in the past as well as the present and future.

Once again we would like to hear from anyone wishing to sponsor or provide an arrangement in memory of a loved one or a family celebration. Last year we asked for work from young people who wished to illustrate the theme of the Flower Festival. This gave the church an impressive display on an otherwise dull area. If any children or young People would like to illustrate "Music to Worship by" please put on your thinking caps and join in the festival -
this is not a competition, just a display of ideas. Contact us for more information.
