Saturday 4th September: 2.00 pm - Licensing of Steve Hammersley as Reader, Lichfield Cathedral.
Saturday 11th September: 10.00 am - Baptism Preparation, Church of the Holy Spirit, Etching Hill.
Saturday 11th September: 10.00 am - Ride & Stride for Staffordshire Historic Churches Trust.
Once again, an opportunity to get fit in time for this popular annual event which raises money for SHCT and each participating church. If you would like to take part in the ‘cycling or walking, or would like to support the event through sponsorship, please speak to organizers Mike and Sheila Threadgold at St. Augustine's, or Steve Hammersley at St. Michael's who will be delighted to tell you all about it or Contact us.
Sunday 19th September: 4.00 pm - Welcome Service for Kevin and Lydia Bales, Parish Family Workers, & Presentation of Bishop's Certificates.
Sunday 26th September: BACK TO CHURCH SUNDAY (All churches) - "Come as you are".

Chat about mutual interests? Then come along to St. Augustine's Church Hall
(next to the church). Admission Free. All welcome.
N.B. Chat is now finished for the Summer and restarts 2nd September.
Tuesdays during school terms: 3.30 pm to 4.00 pm - 'Treasure Seekers'. Time together for children, parents, carers and grandparents. Songs, prayer time and stories. Activities for children. Tea and squash. All welcome!
N.B. Treasurer Seekers is now finished for the Summer and restarts in September.
Wednesdays (2nd and 4th in each month) : 2.00 pm - Young Children's Service/Playtime.

Thursday 2nd September: 7.30 pm - A Social and Fund-Raising Committee Meeting, open to you all, to discuss ideas etc.
Sunday 5th September: 12.00 noon - Bring and Share Lunch to celebrate Steve's Licensing and to bid Wendy 'bon voyage' as she goes on sabbatical.
Sunday 5th September: 6.00 pm - Taize Service as a send-off for Rev Wendy as she goes on sabbatical.
Monday 6th September: 7.30 pm - Beetle Drive. £2 per adult, £1 per child. Light refreshments.
Wednesday 8th, 15th, 22nd, 29th September: 7.30 pm - Emmaus Course (2: Nurture).

Monday 13th September: 10.00 am to 1.00 pm - Carers' Meeting. A monthly chance for all carers to meet. Lunch will be available (Please telephone 01785 606675 to order lunch).

Summer Reading Group: Through the summer a group will meet to discuss five interesting books. We hope the five novels on offer will be stimulating and thought provoking. Come along to church to share your thoughts over tea and cake. For more details of the books and dates of the sessions please pick up a leaflet from the notice board in the hall.
