The village of Slitting Mill gave a warm welcome to all who braved the changeable weather to visit the village for this the nineteenth Annual Open Day.
The church of St. John the Baptist was beautifully and imaginatively decorated to depict the theme "Praise Him in Earth and Sky and Sea"
Visitors had to dodge between the showers in order to visit all the NINE gardens which were opened this year, but everyone who came enjoyed the experience and £1,950.00 was raised for the church funds.
