St Michaelís Church - Christmas Tree Festival
Activity Day - 12th December 2009

Supported by a donation from the Rugeley Community and Learning Partnership.

Many families arrived at church before 10 o'clock in the morning, eager to take part in the planned activities - painting terracotta pots, decorating foam Christmas trees, icing biscuits, colouring Christmas Tree outlines, working through puzzles and making Christmas table decorations.  Free sandwiches and hot-dogs were enjoyed by families at the end of the morning session and by others at the beginning of the afternoon.  Everyone was able to look at the Christmas trees displayed in church and to watch a short play about Elizabeth and Mary learning the news of their pregnancies.  Every family was given a Christmas tree sapling to take home with all of their creations.

Altogether 180 children, parents and grandparents attended, and, after many requests, there will be another Activity Day on 27th March 2010.
