The Tree of Light: there are many references to light in the bible.  Perhaps the most well-known in the Old Testament is in Genesis : In the beginning ….. God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light.  In the New Testament, everyone must know the mention of light in John ch. 8 when Jesus said he was "the light of the world.  Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”

The tree was decorated with lights and memorial cards dedicated to lost loved-ones.

Angelsthe word angel comes from the Latin for messenger, and angels are deemed to be the messengers of God.

In the New Testament, perhaps the most well-known angel is Archangel Gabriel who announced to the Virgin Mary that she would give birth to the Messiah, (Luke ch. 1).  Angels also appeared in the skies above the town of Bethlehem to tell a group of shepherds that Christ had been born (Luke ch. 2.).
